Pure Inference Daily
A daily comedy podcast on markets, money and tech.
Pure Inference Daily is a daily comedy podcast on markets, money and tech. Five friends at a high-powered firm argue about the day’s stories, with real numbers. Tim hosts, and four characters carry the rest: Zuri on culture, Margo on money, Dev on whether the technology is real, and Hollis on history and the odds.
The show is made on one Mac. A local pipeline takes a researched script through to a finished episode — pictures generated in the show’s own clay style, real sources and clips, cloned voices, original music — and none of it is hosted anywhere else.
The scripts are written against a measured house style rather than a hunch. We annotated close to twenty thousand jokes across 188 episodes and segments of three comedies, in one schema, to find which techniques each show leans on and how often. The blend of those is what a script is checked against before an episode gets made.
We’re casting the four voices now, and nobody needs acting experience. Send thirty seconds from your phone on the casting call: the character’s line, then a few sentences about your day, in a voice you make up. If you’re picked, you sign an agreement first, the character keeps its name, and you stay anonymous.
