What this site is

Pure Inference Ventures, LLC is a software studio in Atlanta, Georgia. This site publishes our writing, describes what we build, and offers ways to get in touch.

Nothing here is an offer, a quote, or a contract. If we work together, that engagement is governed by a separate written agreement, and where that agreement and these terms disagree, that agreement wins.

Using it

Read it, quote it, link to it, feed it to a model. What we ask is that you do not:

• break the law with it
• try to reach parts of the system you have not been given access to
• disrupt it for other people
• send malicious code through the contact form or anywhere else
• claim to be somebody you are not

What we wrote, and what you may do with it

The writing, the diagrams, the code samples and the design are ours unless credited otherwise.

Quote us. Excerpt us. Cite us and link back. That is what the citations at the foot of every piece are for, and we would rather be quoted accurately than not at all. What we ask you not to do is republish a piece whole, or present our work as your own.

Where a piece cites somebody else’s work, that work belongs to them, and their terms apply to it rather than ours.

What you send us

When you write to us through the contact form, you keep everything you send. You give us permission to read it, store it, and reply — nothing more. We do not use it to train anything, and we do not pass it on.

Please do not send confidential material through a web form. If you have something sensitive to discuss, say so and we will find a better channel.

Advice

The writing on this site describes what worked on our own projects. It is a record, not a recommendation for your situation, and we are not liable for what happens if you apply it to yours.

What we do not promise

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, correct, or current, and links to other people’s sites are theirs to maintain rather than ours.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and the previous version stays in the site’s own history.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

If any part of this is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
