Pure Context
A private meeting recorder for Mac and iPhone.
Pure Context records the meetings you’re in and keeps them. It captures calls on the Mac and in-person conversations on the iPhone, transcribes them with the speakers named, and writes each meeting out as one Markdown file: the context you brought to it, a short summary, the action items with the evidence behind each one, and the transcript underneath.
All of it happens on a Mac you own. The Mac is the server and every other device captures and reads through it, so there is no cloud model, no telemetry, and no plaintext leaving your devices — including to iCloud. The recording is deleted once you’ve accepted the meeting, and what’s left is a file in a format anything can open.
It’s built for one person per installation. No accounts, no settings written for somebody else, and a setup checklist inside the app that says plainly whether each source is working.
We built it for our own meetings first and we’re hardening it now for a small group of beta users.
