The two hatched steps happen inside a surface we do not control, and they are the middle of the loop rather than the end of it. The rose path is the half we built: what a machine took is recorded on our own hardware, and that is what decides the next thing written. The rate is the argument — a crawler that returns every day is not measuring any single piece, it is measuring whether there is anything new, and that turns publishing cadence from a preference into the lever.
